The Louisiana Creole Heritage Center – This recently opened facility houses various exhibits which depict the Louisiana Creole culture. Many of the exhibits were a part of the 1998 Natchitoches-NSU Folk Festival which celebrated Creole communities of Louisiana. Also available is a collection of ledgers, letters, and legal documents dating back to the early 1800s. A recent addition to the Center is a compilation of news articles chronicling the efforts of the Creole historical organization of Natchitoches Parish for the past ten years.

The Williamson Museum, dedicated to the preservation of cultures, concentrates on Louisiana Indian Culture and on the archaeology of post-European cultures in the state. The museum was organized to exhibit the collections of the late Professor George Williamson. Those collections were lost in the Guardia Hall fire in 1965. Subsequently, the collections have been reconstituted. It now holds over half a million artifacts and is an official repository for state and federal archaeological collections.

The Cane River Community Tour – A tour along the beautiful Cane River will include a showing of various historic homes of this community. Many of these homes have been in the same family for over 100 years. Available for viewing will be the "house with the dirt floors," one family’s home altar, St. Augustine Church and graveyard, and other sites of interest. Guided tours with transportation provided will be available for $5 each – see registration form.
