My mother was born on Cane River. My family and I try to stay connected to the people there and one family member try to go there at least once a year to pay our respect to her family members who are the Mullones. I live in California and long for the day to return to my mothers roots. One of our family members will be there for All Souls day to participate in the cleaning of the grave sights. Will there be a heritage day celebratioon in 2000? I would like to here from other transplanted family members in California as well as "family" from Cane River. All respect to Marie Therese Coin Coin, who planted the seed for the Metoyers, of which my mom is a descendent. Keep up the good work.. |
